Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the problem of transverseacetabular fracture fixation using finite element analysis (FEA).3D model of pelvis and hip joint structure was created andthe design of fixation plate using SolidWorks was made. Theplate was fixed using three different methods: XXOOOOXX,XOXOOXOX, XXXOOXXX (where X is screw and O is emptyhole). Model was meshed into finite elements, static external loadof 2500 N was added and the analysis of stress distribution anddisplacement was performed. The results showed that all three methods of fixture fit fortransverse acetabular fracture fixation while the XOXOOXOXmethod appeared most suitable because of the smallest stressdistribution and displacement on pelvis bone.
