Abstract
Computer modeling of water distribution systems has proven to be an effective and reliable technology for simulating and analyzing system behavior under a wide range of hydraulic conditions. This article describes the identification of the hydraulic conditions in an existing pressure wastewater pipeline from the “X” pumping station to the pressure slope camera. Frequent pipe failures were observed in the pipeline after it has been renovated. Pressure variations in the characteristic points of the pipeline were analyzed applying the model and simulation tools. The critical operational modes of the pipeline were identified and their impact on the pipe failure discussed
