The Efficiency Analysis of the Augmented Reality Algorithm

Dovilė Kurpytė

Abstract

The article presents the investigation of the efficiency of augmented reality algorithm that depends on the rotation angles and lighting conditions. The following were the target subject parameters: three degrees of freedom perspective of the rotation and side lighting that forms a shadow. Static parameters of subjects with the ability to change them were as follow: the distance between the marker and the camera, camera, processor, and the distance from the light source. The study is based on an open source Java programming language algorithm, where the algorithm is tested with 10 markers. It was found that the rotation error did not exceed 2%.
