Abstract

This paper presents scalar controlled induction motor model and analysis of dynamic characteristics. The paper considers the closed loop electric drive system with proportional-integral-derivative (PID) regulator. The model of AC drive is presented in synchronous reference frame. Simulation of the proposed system is considered with different speed reference and load signals, also with different PID regulator parameters (coefficients KP, KI, KD). The selected and tuned regulator significantly decreased speed transient time, and after loading restored it to the reference signal.
