Abstract
This paper considers the impact of additives on the properties of mortar. For investigation purposes, two types of Portland cement (CEM II/A-LL 42.5 N and CEM I N (MA)), fine aggregate sand, lime, water and air-entraining and stabilizing additives were used. To determine the effects of additives on the mortar mix, the analysis of cone penetration into the mix, mortar mobility, water extraction out of mortar, density and flexural and compressive testing were conducted. When put into mortar, air-entraining and stabilizing additives changed structure. In this case, density and flexural and compressive strength of mortar are reduced.
