Steadily increasing prices of electricity and heat energy make us look for the options how to use the supply available rationally. The purpose is to cut energy production costs. Different possibilities to use renewable resources such as wind, water, solar and geothermal energy, are widely discussed in different scientific fields. The article introduces the alternative ways of energy production which could ensure the control of safe waste produced in the process of production. The ways introduced in the article are pyrolysis, incineration and the use of landfilling gas.
