Abstract

The paper analyses the dynamic characteristics of light vehicles during double lane change manoeuvre (ISO 3888-2). The purpose of research is to determine the angle of vehicle sideslip using the adjusted calculation methodology according to the measured longitudinal and lateral velocity and yaw rate and to estimate vehicle stability and drivability based on the obtained results driving at various speeds. Small (B1 class) vehicles have been selected for this research because of stability problems during sudden manoeuvres.
