Abstract
The article identifies factors that have influence on the processes of river self-purification from biogenic substances when the stretches of the river are regulated and unregulated. In order to assess and compare the processes of self-purification, regulated and unregulated stretches of the river of the same length were chosen. It can be showed conclusively that the river in the unregulated stretch purifies from biogenic substances better. Rate a of nitrates self-purification in an unregulated stretch was 0.42 and in regulated stretch it was 0.106. Rate a of phosphates self-purification in an unregulated stretch was 0.286 and in regulated stretch it was 0.22.
