Power Generation Technology Based on Piezoelectric Nanocomposite
Giedrius Janušas (Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania)
Abstract
A new system based on a piezoelectric effect for electric power generation has been developed. Material used in the new model is flexible and has piezoelectric effect. Using the PRISM stand, it was determined that system of 1 m2 area of such elements would generate a constant 0.36 V voltage. Also the created finite element model and the airflow in the designed system was analysed using CFD software. Two different materials were selected for the numerical investigation: water and air. Calculation shows that turbulent kinetic energy, which is equal to 60 MJ, increases as the obstacle arises. Such energy increases for the short time and quickly decreases and become stable.
